His eyes turned a fierce white as he channeled his abilities.
Smoky trails of energy emerged from around him, the moon turned red, and the clouds suddenly seem to be moving faster now.
Am I hallucinating? Is this an illusion from his ability? I could do nothing but watch as he decided to finish us off.
How could this have happened? The plan was perfect. The path would be clear of Millelith patrols, civillians would all be asleep in their homes at this hour. We had a clear shot of the treasuries as long as we were quick and quiet enough.
But out of nowhere this stranger just appeared and blocked us off. There were 5 of us, we tried to take him on, remove any witnesses.
He didn't have a vision on him, I was sure we could take him. That was...until he put on the mask.
The others tried to distract him while some of us ran towards the objective. But he picked us off one by one, like some frenzied demon on the hunt.
There was nothing else I could do. He had slashed my legs enough to keep me immobilized as he finished off my friend.
"W-Who are you?" I asked, my voice stuttering in the panic as he started to walk towards me.
He hovered his blade above my chest, and with a haunting voice he replied,
"Nobody"
He thrust his blade downwards, and I breathe my last.
